KARACHI: Sindh Government on Sunday took back the Excise and Taxation portfolio from provincial minister Mukesh Chawla, a notification issued here on Sunday said.
According to the sources, PPP leadership was not happy with the minister, therefore, the government took back the Excise and Taxation department’s portfolio from Mukesh Chawla.
The government issued the notification on Sunday, despite being an off day. Chawla was holding the Excise and Taxation portfolio for the last six years.
MPA Gian Chand was appointed as new minister for Excise and Taxation. Now, Chawla has the portfolio of Information Technology.
