Multan: Students stop Hashmi’s vehicle, chant “Go Nawaz Go”

MULTAN: Nishtar Medical College students in Multan stopped the vehicle of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Javeed Hashmi and chanted “Go Nawaz Go”.

Hashmi had come to attend a funeral in a mosque at Nishtar Hospital.

The students surrounded the former PTI leader’s vehicle and chanted with one voice “Go Nawaz Go”. They also shouted “Daghi, Daghi”, the word that was coined by PTI vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi after criticism from Hashmi of PTI’s policy.

Hashmi recently left the PTI over differences with some leaders of the party.

He will contest the by-election as independent candidate from his home town NA-147.
