MANSOORAH: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj ul Haq said democracy was a great blessing but people in Pakistan had not enjoyed its benefits.
After meeting Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari at Jamaat’s headquarters, he said political leaders had to think beyond their personal and party interests.
This was after 32 years that a top PPP leader visited Mansoora.
Siraj said it was Asif Ali Zardari’s desire that all political parties meet each other frequently.
On this occasion Asif Ali Zardari said, “We all have to work together to develop the country.”
He showed concerns that enemy could take advantage of their fights. “I will meet every political leader of the country to solve the issue,” Zardari said, alluding to the protests of PTI and PAT.
