HYDERABAD: Kings XI Punjab won the toss and elected to field first against Chennai Super Kings in second semifinal of Champions League T20 on Friday at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) have been undefeated so far in the competition while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced only defeat from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) who qualified for the final of the competition.
Looking back at contests between Kings XI Punjab and the Chennai Super Kings, the latter have a slight edge having won 8 of the 15 contests. However, MS Dhoni and co. will have a score to settle, for KXIP defeated them on all three occasions – twice in the league stage and then again in Qualifier 2 – in the IPL 2014 season.
