RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army promoted Major General Rizwan Akhtar to the rank of Lieutenant General and appointed him as the DG ISI, ISPR said on September 22, Monday (today).
Rizwan is one of the six major generals to be promoted to the rank of lieutenant general, according to Inter-Services Public Relation.
The other officers are Hilal Hussain, Ghayoor Mahmood, Nazeer Butt, Naveed Mukhtar, Hidayt Ur Rehman.
Lt Gen Hilal Hussain has been appointed corps commander Mangla, Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar corps commander Karachi, Lt Gen Hidayat Ur Rehman corps commander Peshawar, Lt Gen Ghayoor Mahmood corps commander Gujranwala and Lt Gen Nazir Butt Inspector General Communication and Information Technology.
