US to provide bomb proof vehicles to Pakistan

WASHINGTON: American government has approved sale of as many as 160 armored vehicles to Pakistan to avoid land mine attacks worth of rupees 20.320 billion rupees.

It is likely that congress will notify sale of armored vehicles worth of 198 million dollars to Pakistan.

US defense security cooperation department has said in its statement that specially designed 160 vehicles to be secured against land mines and explosive materials,  160 vehicles sale to Pakistan has  been approved.

The 160 armored vehicles cost 198 million dollars.

The contract to provide armored vehicles to Pakistan has been given to a company in Michigan adding that the company will provide the vehicles in 18 months.

The US defense security corporation agency has presented certificate of possible sale to congress.

It is expected that after providence of certificate congress will officially announce the sale today.
