ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Wednesday (tomorrow) over imposition of section 144 in capital Islamabad.
The IHC judge Justice Athar Minullah heard the case filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the imposition of section 144 in Islamabad.
The PTI has made ministry of interior, Inspector General (IG) Islamabad, IG Punjab, IG Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner party in the case.
The petitioner stated that imposition of section 144 was against the constitution and law.
The petitioner requested the apex court to declare the imposition illegal and issue order to stop arrests of PTI workers.
The court has summoned DC Islamabad in person in the court tomorrow.
Talking to the media after appearing in the court, PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the court has heard their arguments and he hoped that they would get justice from the court.
