KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Sunday announced that ‘Go Nawaz Go’ currency note would not be accepted in the country.
According to State Bank officials, any bank will not accept the scribbled note with political slogans. It is illegal to write something on currency notes because it is a loss of state.
State Bank will issue the notice on tomorrow to inform the public.
State Bank confirmed its statement after Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahirul Qadri announced to start ‘Go Nawaz Go’ campaign on currency note.
