Pak Army rescue and relief operation continues in flood hit areas

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army relief and rescue operation have continued in Punjab flood hit areas as 29000 people have been rescued so far with the help of boats and helicopters, ISPR said.

According to the Inter Service Public Relations, the Army has transferred around 52.176 tons of food goods in flood hit areas.

Three medical camps have been established in Jhang, Treemoo and Channab as well as four mobile medical camps have been working in Multan and Bahwalpur where flood victims are receiving medical services.

Five helicopters of army in Jhang are in use rescue operation while two in Multan.

The army rescued 500 people in Muzaffargarh, Ahmedpur and Panjaday, ISPR added.
