Bismillah Khan family seeks CBI help to find Shehnai

VARANSI: The family of Ustad Bismillah Khan who got the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna has said his famous Shahnai has been lost since 2009.

 They tried their best to find his famous trumpet but in vain.

The son of Bismillah Khan, who is also an artist of drum charmer Nazim Hussain, demanded that Central Board of Investigation (CBI) investigate the loss of his father’s trumpet.

He said that someone from family has stolen the trumpet so that money could be earned by its auction.

All three of his sons suspect the others of having stolen the instrument.

Ustad Bismillah Khan who died in 2006 used to keep his trumpet at bedside.
