Navy Dockyard attack: Al-Qaeda’s new South Asia wing claims responsibility

KARACHI: Al-Qaeda’s new South Asia branch on Thursday claimed responsibility for Karachi Navy dockyard attack.

New Al-Qaeda wing Chief Ayman Al-Zawahiri claimed that the Navy Dockyard attacked by his wing, according to reports.

Earlier today, at least 3 more suspects of Navy Dockyard attack has been arrested from Luck Pass, local media reported.

According to reports, the suspects were heading towards Afghanistan, when security forces stopped then on the way to Quetta.

The identities of the arrested suspects haven’t been disclosed yet.

Few militants attacked the Navy Dockyard on Saturday (September 6). In this attack 2 militants were killed and a naval officer lost his life and 8 navy personnel were injured.

According to reports, Navy personnel arrested four militants on the spot.
