Mushfiqur Rahim sets highest runs record as skipper in Test

KINGSTOWN: Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has become a first highest runs scorer cricketer as skipper in Test format.

Rahim has made so far 1096 runs in 26 innings of 15 matches with 47.65 averages which included a double century and eight half-centuries.

Rahim crossed this milestone in first Test match against West Indies at Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, St Vincent.

However, Bangladesh lost its first match by 10 wickets against West Indies.

Earlier, Bangladeshi batsman Habib ul Basher had got this reward in Test. He had made 1044 runs in 35 innings of 18 matches.
