ISLAMABAD: National Disaster Management Authority’s (NDMA) published a report on Tuesday about the situation of flood affected areas in Punjab.
According to NDMA report, at least 231 people lost their lives while 401 have been injured in the country due to floods and heavy rain.
In Punjab death toll reached 156 while hundreds of injured, In Azad Kashmir 64 people dead as well as 109 injured in floods and rain, further in NDMA report.
Earlier on Tuesday, NDMA presented the report in the Parliament joint session.
The floods have partially damaged 1242 houses while completely sweeping away 191 houses.
More than 1053 villages have been affected by rains and floods while standing crops on 325,000 have been damaged.
The floods have affected a population of about 436,000 and over 18200 people have been evacuated” he added.
Over 450 health centers have been established for the flood affectees” he added more.
