WASHINGTON: We are just few hours away to see Apple’s flagship smartphone, Apple iPhone 6 now news report revealed that the 5.5 inch model likely to be called iPhone 6 Plus.
The company is expected to launch two models of iPhone, 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches at the September 9 event.
We have heard the rumours that the company’s 5.5 inch model will be called iPhone 6L while new report recons that the bigger version of iPhone will be called iPhone 6 Plus.
Japanese site Macotakara, which has provided accurate and widely inaccurate info on Apple in the past, believes the 4.7-inch model will be simply “iPhone 6,” while the 5.5-inch will get the “Plus” treatment.
The line-up will reportedly be like the current iPhone 5s, with the same three colors and storage sizes in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. Interestingly, Macotakara is uncertain if we’ll see the previously rumored 128GB size.
The iPhone 6 also conformed to launch with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) with iOS 8 operating system on board.
iPhone 6 Plus would certainly be a new naming convention for Apple, but it could make sense if the 5.5-inch model is indeed marketed as a more premium device with better specs.
