ISLAMABAD: Four of the F-16 planes upgraded in Turkey have been inducted in the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
On the occasion PAF Chief Air Marshall Tahir Rafique Butt said that “we are upgrading our weapons and trying to get modern weapons and assets”.
According to a PAF spokesperson PAF F-16 mid-life up-gradation ceremony was held in Turkish Aerospace Industry in Anqara on Friday.
Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Admin) Air Marshall Sohail Aman was Chief Guest at the occasion.
Air Marshall while delivering a speech on the occasion read out the message of PAF Chief Air Chief Marshall Tahir Rafiq Butt which stated that in “today’s era of modern technical development PAF not only has to defend the country’s airspace but also has to help other armed forces.
“To fulfill the obligations, we are tying to get modern weapons and assets and up-grade the existing weapons.
“This august gathering shows classic aviation agreement between PAF, US Air force, Lockheed Martin, OFM Aero F-16 and most important Turkish Aerospace Industry (TAI).
