KARACHI: Veteran politician and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq has scheduled meeting with former president and co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari in Karachi.
Amid severe political crisis in Pakistan following ongoing anti-government protests in Islamabad, Siraj-ul-Haq would meet Asif Ali Zardari in the metropolis Karachi today.
The meeting would be organised in Bilawal House, the political headquarter of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Karachi, for holding discussions over current political situation of Pakistan.
Siraj-ul-Haq being considered as the prominent politician who plays vital role in initiating negotiations between the federal government and protesting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Asif Ali Zardari will be accompanied with former interior minister Rehman Malik in the upcoming meeting.
Moreover, Rehman Malik has praised significant efforts of Siraj-ul-Haq over formation of ‘Political Jirga’ that ends deadlock between government and PTI protestors.
Malik said that the formation of political jirga helped empowerment of political efforts for finding out peaceful solutions.
