Martina Hingis makes victorious return in US Open final

Carolina: Swiss tennis star, Martina Hingis makes a perfect comeback after his second retirement as she reached US open women doubles finals played at Pinehurst on Friday.

Hingis and her partner Flavia Pennetta defeated world’s number third Cara Black and Sani Mirza 6-2 and 6-4 in the semi final.

The five time winner of singles titles, nine doubles crowns and one mixed doubles title, and Flavia Pennetta will face the Russians Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina in Saturday’s final at Flushing Meadows.

The former world No1’s last slam title came in the mixed doubles at the 2006 Australian Open with Mahesh Bhupathi.
