ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has categorically announced in the Parliament House to resign from his National Assembly (NA) seat on Tuesday.
Hashmi said that he came to the Parliament House to give witness account.
“We bow our heads in shame over the past 66 years of independence,” Hashmi said in Parliament.
“Constitution of the 1954 was the best constitution of the country,” Hashmi said.
“Only Parliamentary system can save the country and I promised to serve my country,” he added.
“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif failed to address public problems in last 30 years
“PML-N government exploited me in last 14 months of its government,” he added.
