ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has sought help from top military official, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, for resolving the issues between government and protestors.
Top military official, General Raheel Sharif has started his role to counter the political crisis created by severe differences amongst Pakistani government, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), sources told local media.
General Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf at PM house to discuss existing political crisis in the country.
Reports revealed that the premier consulted Army Chief on the prevailing political turmoil adding that both the high up of the country agreed that crisis must be solved via negotiations.
They also agreed to take measures for resumption of dialogues between the government and leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
During the one-hour meeting, Nawaz Sharif and General Raheel also discussed the matter of First Investigation Report (FIR) filed against Model Town case accusing 21 persons including Pakistani premier.
