HARARE: South Africa on Wednesday defeated Australia by 7 wickets in 2nd match of Triangular series played at Harare Sports club.
South Africa chase down massive 327 runs total batted brilliantly, as skipper AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis made a record 206 runs partnership for South Africa against the Aussies.
However, Du Plessis lost his wicket after scoring 106 runs while De Villiers played an unbeaten knock of 136 runs to guide Proteas home just losing 3 wickets.
Mitchell Starc took 2 wickets for Australia.
Earlier, South Africa won the toss and elected to field first, Australia made 327 runs thanks to brilliant century by Aaron Finch who scored 102 runs while skipper Jorge Bailey contributed 66 runs.
Aussies made 327 runs on loss of 7 wickets.
Imran Tahir took 2 wickets for South Africa.
