KARACHI: As many as six criminals killed in gun battle with police in Gana Mandi area of Sohrab Goth in Karachi, while other 10 accomplices of criminal succeeded to escape, police informed.
According to the SSP police Malir Rao Anwar, police raided the Gana Mandi area near Sohrab Goth on a tip of criminals presence in the area, as police reached the area criminals attacked the police and in retaliation six criminals involved in kidnapping for ransom killed.
 However ten criminals managed to flee from the spot.
The SSP Malir informed that the criminals used to Kidnap people for ransom and hide the kidnapped on the plot near the Gana Mandi and later they shifted them to interior Sindh. Rao Anwar added that they also raped the women on the hide out.
The police also recovered cache of arms which included Klashinkoves, repeators, shot guns, 9 mm pistols, 30 mm pistols and huge amount of bullets and hand grenades.
The criminals were also wanted to police in many cases of kidnapping for ransom adding that police has cordoned off the area in search of fled criminals.
