WASHINGTON: As Google eyeing to launch Google Nexus 6, now new report claims that the device is expected to be called Motorola Google Nexus X.
Google Nexus 5 successor Google Nexus 6 one of the highly anticipated device of the year, now new report recons that company’s flagship device likely to be called Google Nexus X, while it will be co-produced with Motorola.
The report comes from famous site Phone Arena, claiming that the Google’s next Nexus smartphone Google Nexus 6 will be called Nexus X.
Nevertheless, the company will launch a new Nexus iteration this year as expected, and the unveiling is not too far off.
“In terms of the release plans, we’re being told that Google is planning a secret launch just like last year. The Nexus X will be released on or around Halloween without an announcement,” Phone Arena reports.
This purported timeframe for the Nexus X falls in line with previous rumors, which pegged the launch for October or November. Phone Arena had no details at this point regarding the price of the Nexus X.
When it comes to specifications, leaks and rumors so far have suggested that the next-generation Nexus smartphone from Google and Motorola will sport a 5.9-inch display with a QHD (2K) resolution, i.e. 2560 x 1440 pixels. Other rumors specs include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 2.1-megapixel front shooter. On the software side, the handset is expected to rock the next major version of Google’s OS, Android 5.0 L.
With nothing officially confirmed so far, however, take everything with a grain of salt for now. We’ll keep you up to date as soon as we learn more, so stay tuned.
