ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif flew towards Chitral in order to inpect the ongoing Lowari tunnel project in Chitral of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Friday.
Pakistani premier is accompanied with prominent lawmakers during his Chitral visit including Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
High-level officials would brief PM Nawaz Sharif regarding the developments of the tunnel project.
Following bad weather situation in Chitral, PM Nawaz Sharif has reached Governor House Peshawar before leaving towards Lowari tunnel project in Chitral district.
Governor KP Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan welcomed PM Nawaz Sharif in Governor House during his visit to KP province.
PM Nawaz Sharif was briefed the governmental efforts and development details of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan, as well as apprised the premier regarding relief work being provided to the IDPs.
Sharif directed Governor KP to provide maximum relief to the IDPs. He said that Pakistani government is standing besides IDPs like a rock.
