JI, JUI-F chiefs issue joint statement in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami chief Siraj-ul-Haq has met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman to discuss the current political situation.

Fazlur Rehman said that no political party is favouring demand of Prime Minister’s resignation, as well as dissolution of assemblies.

All political parties are on same page while traders rejected the civil disobedience’s call by Imran Khan; Rehman added.

JUI-F chief claimed that the protestors are now alone as lawyers’ bar association also showed solidarity with the parliament.

During the press conference, Sirajul Haq urged to think beyond personal interest amid ongoing severe political crisis.

He requested both parties to continue dialogues, otherwise, ‘the game will be ended soon and all of us will go home.’
