Moto G2 (Moto G+1) to retail from Sept. 10 with €250 price tag?

WASHINGTON: If you are a Motorola fan and waiting for company’s smartphone this year, so you don’t have to wait for long.

That’s true if we consider this report, that recons Moto G’s successor Moto G2 will retail from September 10.

Moto G is one of the successful smartphone from Motorola. Unofficially dubbed the Moto G2, or the Moto G+1, the new iteration is expected to sport some notable improvements over the original Moto G, but it may also come at a higher price point.

According to iTechPost, the Moto G2 will hit retail on Sept. 10, which means that Motorola may unveil it at the IFA 2014 trade show in Berlin in early September.

GSM Arena also claims to have some intel regarding the Moto G2’s possible pricing, claiming that the device may come with a €250 price tag.

That would be significantly more expensive than the original Moto G, as well as the slightly upgraded Moto G 4G variant.

It’s worth pointing out that GSM Arena’s report refers to the dual-SIM version of the Moto G2, but the single-SIM model is expected to go on sale at the same time as well.

The smartphone is rumored to come with a 5-inch display with a 720p HD resolution, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage capacity. It remains unclear whether the Moto G2 will feature microSD support or not. The original Moto G, for instance, did not allow for any external storage, but the Moto G 4G added microSD support.

Other rumored specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-inch front shooter, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and dual-SIM support. On the software side, the handset should run Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Keep in mind, however, that it’s all in the rumor state for now, so make sure to take everything with a grain of salt.
