WASHINGTON: We have already seen Apple iPhone 6 leaked with its retail box, now device makes another appearance in an assembly line.
Newly-leaked images allegedly show a fully assembled 4.7-inch iPhone 6 display, featuring even the glass cover, mounting structures, and flex cables.
The latest leaks comes from the Far East, consisting of a set of leaked images that show close-ups of the assembled 4.7-inch display of the iPhone 6.
The photos come from Taiwanese publication Apple Club, which claims they are production versions of both white and black faceplate options. It’s worth pointing out that these images are the very first to show a complete screen unit for the iPhone 6, assembled with cover glass, and mounted display.
On the rear, the unit seems to feature a complete display package with backlight installed, as a protective film covers most of the package. A serial number and central QR code are not covered, likely left in sight for the manufacturing process and quality control tests.
The next-generation iPhone 6 is widely expected to make its debut this fall, with recent reports indicating that Apple may unveil the device on Sept. 9.
The company is widely rumored to launch two large-screen iPhone 6 models this year – one with a 4.7-inch panel and the other with a 5.5-inch screen – but it remains unclear at this point whether they will debut at the same time.
The 5.5-inch model is rumored to face some production issues that may delay its launch, but it all remains unconfirmed for now. We’ll keep you up to date as soon as we learn more, but take everything with a grain of salt until an official announcement.
