PTI white paper: Imran Khan levels ‘five massive allegations’ on PMLN govt

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has released its white paper to uncover ‘questionable economic performance’ of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led federal government.


Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan chaired hours long session of his political party’s elite committee at his residence in Bani Gazal, Islamabad on Friday.

Imran Khan has released ‘white paper’ to expose the ‘destroyed economic performance’ of the PMLN government.

Khan hurled severe allegations, said that its party-led long march on August 14 will happen at any cost and he would be there for whole time to lead the protest, as well as announced to stay there, eat there till the acceptance of PTI demands.

1. Undemocratic Rulership and Monarchy:

PTI chief Imran Khan claimed his political party has stood against ‘Monarchy’ in Pakistan as PMLN has adopted administration trends from ‘dictatorship’ and ‘autocracy’.

He said that Punjab government is being used as ‘servants’ against its political rivals.

Khan also revealed a map showing detainment of his party workers in Punjab province after announcement of ‘Independence March’.

2. Opaque and Non-Transparent Election:

PTI chief alleged, ‘Organising only election is not enough in democracy but to hold fair and transparent election’. He said that the scrutiny of 14 constituencies provided evidences of vote rigging in large numbers up to 50,000 and 60,000.

He termed the PMLN mandate as the fake mandate of Egypt’s Husni Mubarak and Iraq’s Saddam Hussain, who created monarchy-like rulership in their countries via using name ‘democracy’.

3. Vote Rigging:

Imran Khan alleged that worst rigging was done during last general election as each political party of the country admitted the fact. He claimed that 400 applications had been submitted by the election candidates while scrutiny of only 14 constituencies proved the vote rigging and rest of 70 percent was hidden behind the ‘stay orders’.

Imran Khan warned the PMLN government that a military takeover could occur in the country following annoying tactics of Punjab government but not from a peaceful march or protests.

PTI chief Imran Khan said that the ongoing PMLN government made disastrous moves to destroy the economy of Pakistan.

Khan uncovered some statistics from PTI’s white paper, claiming that highest rate of inflation was recorded in this year as compare to last five years of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s government.

Foreign investments have been decreased up to 13 per cent while power prices increased up to 80 per cent without lessening duration of loadshedding, whereas, the PM’s residency in Raiwind is a ‘loadshedding free’ area. Moreover, the Pakistani nation suffers huge loss of at least Rs9 billion via selling an important share to UBL.

Imran Khan also revealed that billions of funds has been transferred into foreign accounts and given to Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Sharif via categorising it as ‘gift’.

‘Nawaz Sharif has spent Rs680 million on his foreign visit while results are null’, Khan said.

The white paper termed the escalation of Rs27 billion funds in Nandi Pur Power Project as corruption.

Imran Khan alleged that the renowned Metro Buses Project has been started to award Sharif’s relative in Turkey.

The PTI chief Imran Khan said that a project worth Rs50 billion has been handed over to the ‘Ephedrine Abbasi’. He was commenting over Hanif Abbasi who is the main accuse of ephedrine case.

Khan questioned the reasons for not registering cases against Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in Model Town killings of PAT workers.
