FAFEN declares 2013 general election ‘transparent’

ISLAMABAD: A report by Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) has termed Elections 2013 by and large free, fair and transparent, negating allegations of PTI of massive rigging.

The report “National Assembly Election-2013, Results Analysis” says FAFEN employed Parallel Vote Tabulation methodology while calculating the vote cast for 264 of the 272 constituencies.

It says, of the 264 constituencies, 218 constituencies have the same winner, runner-up and second runner-up in both the Election Commission and FAFEN estimates.

The report also points out that rejection of votes in 2013 election had followed the historical trend of votes rejected during previous two elections.
