Thousands of Pakistanis trapped in Libya: FO confirms

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s Foreign Office has confirmed that at least 3,000 to 6,000 nationals has trammeled in crisis-hit Libya.


FO spokesperson Tasleem Aslam, on Monday, amid a press conference, stated that the office have commenced its maximum efforts for repatriation of Pakistani nationals in Libya.

“No airport in Libya is operational due to worsen security situations,” she said adding that Pakistani FO has been striving its best to ensure safe return pf Pakistanis in the turmoil affected area.

She further said that Pakistan was attempting to get its citizens back safely via Tunis and diplomatic channels have already been activated in this regard.
