Talks with govt only after Aug 14: PTI

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Friday said that time to talk to the government over its scheduled long march on Islamabad was over and now the party would talk to the government only after August 14, the day PTI plan to march on the capital to oust the government from office over what it says wide-spread rigging in last year’s general elections.

A private TV channel quoted PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi strongly denying Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders’ assertions that the government is in touch with certain PTI leaders to call off their ‘million march’.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif wanted to talk to Imran Khan but the PTI chief is not ready to talk to him, he claimed.

Qureshi said that PTI decision to go ahead with its planned long march was final and I would not change at any cost.

He accused some ministers of spreading rumours to confuse PTI workers.
