Dale Steyn breaks Waqar Younis highest wickets record in Test format

COLOMBO: South Africa experienced fast bowler Dale Steyn has left behind the former Pakistan’s yorker specialist Waqar Younis after taking 374 wickets of his career during Test series against Sri Lanka.

Steyn achieved this milestone after taking a wicket of Sri Lankan batsman Upul Tharanga in the second innings at Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo.

Steyn became a fifteenth bowler to get highest wickets in the Test format.

Younis took 373 wickets following 87 Test matches for his career. Now he is a head coach of Pakistan cricket team.
