Eid 2014 moon sighted in KSA, UAE and in rest of Middle East

RIYADH: Elite body of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has formally announced the Eid ul Fitr moon sight on Sunday, which marks the end of Holy Ramadan (fasting) month.

Muslims across the kingdom and those countries usually follow Saudi Arabia’s timeline including Middle East, African countries, some sections of United Kingdom (UK) and United States of America (USA) have greeted the commencement of the Eid ul Fitr celebration on Tuesday as month of Holy Ramadan comes to an end.

While other countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and some other Asia countries will organise their moon sighting session respectively on Monday to decide the first lunar day of Shawwal.

One of the biggest religious festivals of the world, Eid ul Fitr, is celebrated by the Muslims’ during their Islamic lunar calender’s month of Shawwal’s 1st date of Shawwal till 3rd.

Saudi Arabia’s Supreme court had formally announced on Tuesday for not sighting Ramadan’s moon on Sunday and decided to meet again on Monday (July 29).
