LHC ousts seven civil judges over public complaints

LAHORE: The Pakistan’s Lahore High Court on Friday kicked out seven civil judges from their posts over violation of rules and regulation in light of public complaints.


The strict action was taken by Chief Justice LHC Khawaja Imtiaz during a high-level session of administration committee in order to review public complaints against officials.

The ousted officials include three women judges who were involved in violation of judicial rules and regulations in accordance to different complains received from different districts of Punjab province.

LHC took rapid department actions against the culprits including civil judges reportedly named as Nadeem Asghar, Qamar Zaman Tarar, Muhammad Amjad, Muzaffar Hussain, Zul-e-Huma, Bushra Fareed and Saima Asif, local media reported.
