LAHORE: The Punjab government has finalised the necessary strategies for securing the national and international airlines as well as its citizens after commencement of large-scale military operation in the Pakistan’s tribal areas.
Inspector General (IG) Police Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera told local media that prominent strategies have been set up in order to provide foolproof security to the locals and foreign citizens in the province.
Sukhera said that the strategies include security of national and international airlines taking off and landing on all airports located across Punjab province.
He said that the concerned authorities have been directed to collect necessary data of all building and rest houses situated in the premises of airports in order to prevent from any terrorism bid.
The high-level police officer added that security measures on all check posts has increased due to arrival of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the province from the tribal parts of Pakistan.
The provincial authorities have ordered to register complete data of each displaced persons entering in the boundaries of Punjab province.
