KARACHI: At least one person was killed and 65 others injured when two buses, taking devotees of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan to his annual ‘Urs’, overturned in separate incidents here on Monday.
According to reports, the first incident occurred when the passenger coach coming from Multan to Sehwan overturned on highway as the driver lost control due to over speed.
One person died in this accident, while 35 people were injured.
Rescue teams shifted injured victims to a local hospital for immediate medical assistance.
Meanwhile, another coach going to Sehwan from Karachi overturned in Kotri on Indus Highway because of over speed.
More than thirty people were injured, including women and children. The wounded were shifted to hospital immediately for medical aid by the help of rescue groups.
