Muslims to observe ‘Shab-e-Barat’ tonight

KARACHI: Muslims in Pakistan are getting ready to observe a sacred night ‘Shab-e-Barat’ with complete devotion and reverence tonight (Friday).

Muslims all over the world observe Shab-e-barat on the night of 14th Sha’ban-ul-Moazzam. It is also known as Laylat-ul- Bara’ah or Laylat-un- Nisfe min Sha’ban.

On Shab-e-Barat, Allah takes decision for all His creations for the next year.

So Muslims are advised to ask for forgiveness from Allah Almighty for all their sins and pray for better future in this world and the life after.

On Shab-e-Barat, ladies make special arrangements in their homes and spend whole night praying while men spend their time in mosques and participate in collective prayers.

Islamic clerics conduct special programs on TV and other mediums to emphasize on the importance of Shab-e-Barat.
