KARACHI: Altaf Hussain is still being treated in hospital under the custody of Scotland Yard, revealed Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar here on Thursday.
Doctors have taken medical tests of Altaf Hussain, and we are waiting for reports now, told Sattar.
While talking about party’s future plans, Sattar said MQM will continue the protest until MQM chief gets justice and all MQM associates are hoping that things will improve soon, adding that party workers are concerned about Altaf Hussain’s health.
Sattar also confirmed that Hussain contacted MQM Rabita Committee in London and his daughter Afza Hussain yesterday (Wednesday).
MQM shows gratitude
Sattar was impressed by the love and support MQM received from the nation and said we are extremely grateful to people for their support. The people of Sindh have expressed solidarity with Altaf Hussain.
“Karachi is the city of peace-loving citizens. We have asked traders, transporters and industrialists to continue the business,” urged Sattar.
And he also requested law enforcement agencies for playing their part in maintaining peace in the city.
