ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday contacted Governor of Sindh Ishratul Ebad Khan via telephone to discuss Altaf Hussain’s detainment related matters.
PM Nawaz Sharif inquired about the health condition of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, who was detained by London Police yesterday in money laundering case.
During the meeting, Pakistan PM ensured Governor of Sindh with maximum support to Altaf Hussain. He said that Altaf Hussain is a Pakistani citizen, he would be provided maximum assistance by the federal government.
Meanwhile, Minister of Interior Chaudhry Nisar also telephoned Governor of Sindh and vowed for firm effort in order to resolve Hussain’s problems in foreign country.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain had been arrested by Scotland Yard officials in London today in money laundering case and currently under investigation by the police department.
