ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan would unveil its Rs3.8 trillion budget presented by finance minister Ishaq Dar in parliament on Tuesday (today).
FM Ishaq Dar envisaged the budged in accordance to economy revival, growth enhancement, power crisis and relief provision to the nationals across the country.
The budget would be presented before parliamentarian in the National Assembly’s session scheduled today at 4:30pm (Pakistan Time) and 6:00pm at Senate.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will approve the budget proposals after holding consultative meeting with the federal cabinet before its formal announcement.
According to reports, the new budget also emphasised modernisation of public and private sectors, good governance, human and social capital development, institutional reformation, education promotion as well as countering extremism and terrorism.
Radio Pakistan reported that the Annual Plan Coordination Committee and National Economic Council have already approved Public Sector Development Programme of 1310 billion rupees including 525 billion for federal and 650 billion for provinces and 135 billion rupees for WAPDA and National Transmission and Distribution Companies.
The proposed Federal PSDP would be twenty percent higher than 425 billion rupees for the outgoing year.
