KARACHI: At least six more persons have been killed in continued incidents of firing and violence in the capital city of the Sindh, Karachi on Wednesday.
According to police, three people were killed at Cheel Chowk area of Liyari in result of firing by unknown persons.
Meanwhile, according to private TV channel, three criminals of Lyari Gang War were gunned down in police encounter.
The encounter took place near Cheel Chowk, where police shot dead three criminals of Lyari Gang War. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.
Meanwhile, three people including a policeman were killed in different parts of the city earlier in the day. The cop was killed in firing in North Nazimabad area and a corpse was also found at II Chundrigar road railways crossing. In Orangi town a youth, 24, was killed and indentified as Kamran.
In North Karachi a person named Abbas was injured in an attack on a car. According to SSP City Kamran Sheraz a gang member was arrested after being injured in an encounter with police at Kharadar.
Weapon was also recovered from the arrested miscreant while his accomplice reportedly escaped from the scene.
In another incident, a man who was targeted by armed men on Tuesday in Liaquatabad C-1 area breathed his last on Wednesday. He was identified as Ibn-e-Raza.
A man was also injured while resisting a robbery bid near Do-Minute Chowrangi, North Karachi. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
