KARACHI: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif stressed upon improvement of intelligence sharing between law enforcement agencies for success in Karachi operation.
The PM also emphasized upon the nedd of giving LEAs a free hand to curb terrorism and crime in the country’s economic hub adding that Karachi holds an important position in his agenda.
He also called upon political parties to come on the same page for this purpose.
The prime minister asked why illegal SIMs were not being blocked and said why red warrants had not been issued for criminals who have fled the country.
The representatives of political parties agreed that the targeted operation should continue in Karachi.
Mian Nawaz Sharif was addressing a high level meeting attended by former president Asif Ali Zardari, ISI chief Zaheer-ul-Islam, COAS Raheel Sharif, DG Rangers, Governor Sindh Eshrat-ul-Ibad, CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and representatives of MQM, ANP and JI Â among other dignitaries.
