ISLAMABAD:Pakistan’s National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday unanimously approved resolution for eradication of Polio from the country on Tuesday.
The lower house session was held today, the Speaker Ayaz Sadiq chaired the session.
The State Minister for Health Services Sara Afzal Tarrar presented the resolution for the eradication of polio, which reads that Pakistan will be made a polio free country and for the purpose effective measures will be taken.
The resolution further states that now the country has no issues of drone attacks or Shakil Afridi. So all the MNA’S should do the monitoring of polio programs in their respective constituencies.
Later, the assembly approved the resolution unanimously.
It is pertinent to mention here that World Health Organization (WHO) has made mandatory to have polio vaccination certificate for Pakistanis traveling abroad due to spread of polio in the country.
