KARACHI: Dust storm struck Sindh’s urban areas in Hyderabad and Karachi on Sunday night causing power failure in Hyderabad.
As many as 150 energy feeders closed shut by Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) due to fast wind and dust storm.
Most of the areas of Hyderabad and Latifabad engulfed darkness due to power failure.
The dust storm started from Hyderabad reached Karachi as fast winds and dust storms spreaded in half of Karachi, reports of heavy wind and dust storm reported in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal airport, New Karachi, Nazimabad, National Highway and in many others areas.
Meteorological department predicted that dust storm and heavy winds would continue for two to three hours.
