MULTAN: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) nominated committee member Maulana Yousuf Shah revealed on Saturday that the banned organization has given a list of 765 non-combatant prisoners they want to be released.
Talking to media, he said that military operation was not a solution to the problem.
“What was the outcome of engaging the war machine in those areas for the last 12 years? None of the tribal region was ‘cleared’ ever”, said he.
Shah added that the advocates of military action were actually the enemies of the people of Pakistan.
In the end he said that they would again urge both (the Taliban and the government) the sides to reconsider a ceasefire.
