ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Tassaduq Hussain Jilani on Saturday has said that re-elections can be possible if election staff will be proved involve in rigging, illegal and corrupt practice.
The CJP gave these remarks during hearing the appeal against Sheikh Rashid Ahmed for rigging in NA- 55 in last general election.
According to details, Shakeel Awan, who lost NA 55 seat to Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, had filed an appeal in election tribunal against rigging and corrupt practice in general election of 2012.
Sheikh Rashid also filed a formal request to dismiss this case but election tribunal turned down his appeal.
