ISLAMABAD: Chief Executive of Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) Mudassir Rizvi has challenged the claim of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan that Geo TV was involved in rigging in general election of 2012 (held on May 11) here on Friday, media reported.
Rizvi said that no TV channel was involved in last elections in poll rigging.
He further said that organisations with authority can have the power over elections in a country.
However, he clarified that TV channels can play a vital role in shaping public opinion.
Imran Khan, on Friday, has announced to boycott Geo and Jang as he believed that they were involved in poll rigging in 2012 general election. Khan also gave proof about his allegations to media in his press conference.
