RAWALPINDI: Central Commander of the United States (US) Army, General Austin has met the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif at the Army House here on Friday.
During the meeting, the top military leadership of both the countries discussed bilateral affairs and the regional situation. On this occasion, the Secretary of Defence, Lieutenant General (retd) Asif Yasin Malik was also present.
The military leadership of both the states also discussed Pak-US defence cooperation and expressed its satisfaction on that.
US Commander General Austin also exchanged his views with General Raheel Sharif pertaining to the withdrawal of US-led NATO forces from Afghanistan, this year.
Earlier on Tuesday, Irshad Hussain, special envoy of the US President Barrack Obama, had also met the Chief of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Sami (JUIS), Molana Sami ul Haq and discussed with him affairs relating to Taliban Talks and withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
