Sydney: Australian Cricket Board (ACB) has appointed on Friday Rod Marsh as chairman of selectors after replacing John Inverarity in Sydney.
Marsh and Australia’s coach Darren Lehmann are the only selectors to retain their positions.
Former Australian skipper Mark Waugh and former head selector Trevor Hohns have joined the four-man committee with former all-rounder Andy Bichel also being replaced.
He played 96 Tests and set a new world benchmark for Test dismissals during his career that spanned 1970-1984.
“Rod Marsh is the right man to take on this important role having been a key member of the panel since 2011,” Cricket Australia chief executive officer James Sutherland said.
