LAHORE: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has cut gas connections to the Prime Minister House Islamabad, Parliament Lodges and several government agencies, including the Federal Shariat Court, because of non-payment of dues, media reported Monday.
According to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines spokesman, following high profile people has to pay millions of outstanding dues. Here is the detailed list of defaulters followed by the amount of money they owe to SNGP.
Prime Minister’s Secretariat = 4.7 million rupees
Parliament House = 1.3 million rupees,
Parliament Lodges Islamabad = 7 lakh and 70 thousand rupees,
Federal Shariat Court = 2 lakh 24 thousand rupees,
Governor House Murree = 88 thousand rupees
All these defaulted institutions have been notified several times but they did not respond and pushed SNGP to take this step.
Remember that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered government officials to recover electricity and gas dues from all government and non-governmental organizations without any indiscrimination.
