ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday took notice of baton-charge and tear gas shelling on Amina Masood Janjua and other demonstrators protesting over missing persons issue.
According to sources, PM Nawaz Sharif ordered the concerned authorities to take action against the responsibles involved in manhandling of protesters.
He directed authorities to immediately release the arrested protesters, adding that police’s torture on unarmed protesters is not acceptable.
PM Nawaz Sharif further said that it is a right of every Pakistani to hold peaceful protest demonstration.
